The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation of Nepal, rooted since 1964, leads the nation’s efforts in land governance, cooperative development, and poverty alleviation. Headquartered at Singha Durbar, it administers land reform, cadastral surveys, historical land records, and training through specialized departments. The Ministry also regulates cooperative systems and integrates community welfare into land-related policies. Currently overseen by Minister Balaram Adhikari and Secretary Gokarna Mani Duwadee, it remains a central pillar in Nepal’s socio-economic development machinery.
